GM P. is finally over the flu! It was a severe bout that lasted for 2 weeks but he is now finally back to his old self. Thanks to all of you who have sent him "Get Well" wishes. We really appreciate it!

Due to GM P's current bout with a severe case of the flu, we must reschedule the Double Impact Seminar scheduled for Saturday, February 25 in Queen Creek, AZ. The new date is Saturday, March 17. Same location.

We have started the massive job of mailing the new newsletter accompanied by the forms necessary for induction in the "Who's Who in Combat Hapkido" Lineage book. Every member, every Charter and Individual should receive it within 2 weeks. If you want to be featured in this historical Martial Arts book, we urge you to send the application back as sooon as you can and not procrastinate. Remember that after we receive all the material back we must edit, scan, layout and then send it out to be printed and binded. It is a lot of work and we do not want to turn anyone down because they waited too long!

DSI, Inc. has concluded an agreement to market and distribute the DVDs for the ACT program. The 3 volume series can now be purchased directly from the DSI Store at www.combathapkido.com We believe that Martial Arts students and Instructors of every rank and style can greatly benefit by the knowledge, the drills and strategies of the ACT program and can easily incorporate the techniques into their curriculum.

Several incidents, complaints, and misunderstandings involving students in our Charter schools in the past few months require that we re-state our policies concerning membership and certifications.

These policies concern students and Instructors of Charter schools of the ITA & ICHF and have not changed for the past 20 YEARS!!!

*  Every student of an ITA or ICHF Charter school MUST be an Individual Member of the ITA or ICHF.  If you are not a Member you cannot receive Rank Certificates.

*  Every student MUST receive a TaeKwonDo or Combat Hapkido Certificate issued by the ITA or ICHF HQ EVERY time he/she is promoted to a higher belt.  If a student does not receive a certificate or the certificate was not issued by the ITA or ICHF HQ, his/her promotion is neither legitimate nor valid, and thereby not recognized by our Governing Bodies.  Application for Black Belt Certification will be denied unless HQ has a record of every color belt certificate having been issued to that student.

*  The ITA & ICHF do not impose heavy or unreasonable mandates on their Charter schools.  There are basically only two strict administrative rules: every student must be a Member and every student must receive HQ issued Belt Certificates.  If those two rules are not followed, the Charter school is in violation of our policies and therefore both, the organization (ITA and/or ICHF) and the student, are being cheated.  We cannot make this issue any clearer and there are no exceptions to these rules!!

We urge all of our members to be ethical and do the right thing!

GM Pellegrini and his wife, Trina, attended the 12th Action Martial Arts Magazine Hall of Fame weekend in Atlantic City, NJ on January 20/21, 2012.  GM Pellegrini is a celebrity VIP at the event and always conducts a short (45 minutes) clinic on Combat Hapkido.  Several ICHF/ITA Members were inducted and others were in attendance as returning past inductees.  If you are interested in being part of next year's event, contact GM Pellegini at HQ.

Grandmaster  Pellegrini has received an honorary appointment to the Kukkiwon Advisory Board.  Kang Won-Sik, President of TaeKwonDo World Headquarters sent Grandmaster Pellegrini a beautiful certificate in recognition of his contribution to the art over the past 40 years.
